In high population density city, the walkway, open space and plaza getting smaller are the consequences of people paying too much attention on privacy. This project is looking at the spatial transformation in program aspect and using it to bring up the notion of sharing that privatized elements would transform to public. In this project, the proposal is to create a co-living apartment with the corridor that encourage people to interact with others. The apartment went through the operation of excavation to generate a solid and void relationship promoting the idea of “sharing”. From micro to macro scale, two units are sharing one bathroom and a living room, four units are sharing an outdoor space and two cluster are sharing one main vertical circulation. Lastly, the community is sharing its public space with the public. One of the main solution to solve housing crisis is to increase social interaction through architecture.
